Late booking has caught on in recent years as people have discovered there are some great bargains to be had this way. But first of all you must want what's on offer. These bargains exist for a reason! (usually because a hotel is desperate to fill rooms on a half-empty hotel!!)
Thanks to the airlines, generally nowadays with most hotels, the nearer you get to departure the more expensive the rate will be. While you may be able to secure a low price at the last minute if you are travelling at a quiet time, the only sure-fire way of getting a cheap deal is to book as soon as it is available. So if your total stay rate, on e.g. a dinner bed and breakfast rate is £100, we’ll give you £7.50 to spend in the hotel.
